There have been several popular shoot-em-up computer games that have been customizable, and lots of people have taken the opportunity to add a little sex. The first was the original Doom, what is known as a "first-person shooter", where you wander around shooting everything in sight. The designers added the ability to create your own levels, and it was not long before people started to create their own with naked women and other sexual elements.

The makers of Duke Nukem realized this trend and decided to spice up their ultra violent little game. They added such elements as a strip bar (although the strippers are not naked), and this got a lot of people upset. How dare anyone pervert a nice friendly game where you blow aliens up and leave bloody footprints? People did complain about the violence, but the sex is what seemed to really make it controversial. It's a funhouse world we live in. Of course, people developed add-ons where you could make the strippers naked and add new elements such as an IMAX X-rated theatre with actual adult videos.

Typically, testosterone pumping action games have featured one dimensional beefed up macho heroes. The Tomb Raider series, developed by EIDOS, slightly changed the formulae with the introduction of Lara Croft, an archeologist in the Indiana Jones mold. With her short shorts and voluptuous figure, she became a sex symbol and an action star.

The Lara character is well fleshed out, with a complete biography (she was born to British aristocrats on February 14th, 1967). The character has become so popular that she has her own feature film with Angelina Jolie bringing her to life.

We have included add-ons for Doom, Quake and Duke Nukem, as well as patches to get Lara Croft naked. We have not tested them all out, and adding these patches can be tricky, so all we can offer is a hearty handshake and good luck wishes. They can all be found in the Games/Additions directory. Adding patches requires a little basic knowledge of how computer directories work and how to install a patch. Those with no computer knowledge at all could possibly wipe out the game installation. That is why we included them in the original Zip archive without an installer. We figure if you know enough to find it and unzip it, you probably can figure out how to safely install it.

The following are called .wad files and add different levels to Doom. There are also some extra utilities on the disc if you dig around with Explorer.
